9, Feedback from meetings/events attended:
Bill Wood had attended the recent Single National Communications Workshop 4 in the Tribal offices at York, along with Alyson Down plus other NHW and NYP representatives from the area.
The meeting had been very constructive and informative. This workshop was the last of 4 being held nationally and whilst an interim draft report has been circulated, a full and final report will be made to NNHWA in due course once all material has been analysed.
10. Publicising NY NHWA:
It was agreed that this had been mainly covered under item 5. Agreed Priorities.
All present felt that we need to advertise our existence more widely and to that end there was discussion regarding the nature of our forthcoming official launch. Keith Roberts suggested that we should contact the NYCC North Yorkshire Times free newspaper, which goes to every household in the county, thus giving us widespread free publicity.
The Chairman agreed to survey the membership by email for opinions/ ideas on how our official launch should be conducted.
11. A O B:
Bill Wood enquired about the current situation regarding Public Liability Insurance. He was assured that it had been covered by NYP for this year, but Marion Lewis informed us that next year each NHW will have to register individually for cover. This will need to be discussed at future meetings.
12. Next Meeting:
This has been arranged for Tuesday 21st September 2010 at Malton Police Station; 12 noon – 3pm.
